The first story
Claude Monet changed the way humanity sees light. His paintings hang in the greatest museums on earth. But before any of that — before the fame, before the recognition, before the world decided he was worth believing in — there was a woman who already knew.
Her name was Camille.
She stayed through every uncertain year. She appeared in more than fifty of his paintings, her face woven into the work that would define an entire movement in art history. She chose him before the world agreed he was worth choosing.
She died in 1879. She was thirty-two.
She did not live to see any of it.
When we designed the Camille Collection, we asked ourselves what it should feel like. Like love, we thought. Like memory. Like the particular warmth of coming home — not the grand version, but the real one.
That feeling led us to a room most visitors walk straight past — the kitchen at Monet's home in Giverny. Lined with hand-painted tiles, warm and quietly alive. The most ordinary room in the house. The one that felt most like someone had truly lived and loved there.
We took that tile pattern and etched it into the back of every piece. We wanted to dedicate that feeling — of warmth, of home, of a life carefully given — to the woman who made it possible for someone else.
Camille never stood in that kitchen. But in our minds, it was always hers.
History tends to remember the name at the front. Memoirita thinks about the ones who made it possible. The Camille Collection is our first story — and there are many more women waiting to be remembered.
This collection is for her. And for every woman who recognizes something of herself in her story.
Jewelry that remembers.
Memoir — a memory, a life recorded.
Rita — from Señorita. A woman. Any woman. Every woman.
A piece of jewelry is not just metal and stone. It holds the moment you first put it on. The person who gave it to you. The version of yourself you were when you chose it. Wear it long enough, through enough of life's ordinary and extraordinary moments, and it stops being jewelry. It becomes memory made physical.
That is what Memoirita is for. Not just to make beautiful things — but to make things worth remembering. Things worth passing on.
We were not born inside the jewelry industry. We came from outside it entirely — and what we found when we started looking was an industry this country built with its own hands, that its own people rarely got to wear. We are here to change that.
We make semi-fine jewelry for women who believe in meaning. In colored gemstones that have been forming underground for millions of years, waiting for the right person to wear them. In craftsmanship that is ethical all the way through — not just the finish, but the hands behind it. In pieces that don't go out of style because they were never about style.
They were always about you.
Handcrafted in Thailand. Sterling Silver 925. Built to be worn every day — and eventually, passed on.
